This photo was taken in Gallup, New Mexico in 2021 as a part of my project "Dear Robert," where I retraced Robert Frank's journey around America. It was just featured in the Washington Post Sunday Magazine's annual photography issue, which highlights the perspectives of 11 photographers on American life.
